How the Ottoman Empire Became a Haven for Jews

 

During the late 1400s, King Ferdinand of Spain exiled the Jewish population.

The Ottomans knew how good the Jewish people were with finances and saw this as an economic opportunity, so they invited all of them to stay and work in important positions.
Eventually, this lead to the Ottoman Empire having one of the largest Jewish populations and made it a haven for them.
